A crossbench peer, Jane campaigns for disability rights by engaging with parliament, and empowers disabled people through social and political change.
We’re pleased to recognise Baroness J Campbell’s work.
🏆 Rose Ayling-Ellis wins our Role Model award!
Rose works to increase representation and break down barriers for the deaf community.
Rose publicly campaigned for the introduction of the British Sign Language bill, and was the first deaf performer on @BBCStrictly. 🎇
🏆 Our Media Moment award goes to BBC Strictly ✨!
In 2021, Rose Ayling-Ellis and @PerniceGiovann1 performed part of their dance in silence. This tribute to the deaf community enchanted the audience, earning the pair a BAFTA.
We’re proud to honour such a special moment 💃
🏆 Our Journalist award goes to Richard Butchins!
📺 Richard’s documentaries shed light on disability hate crime, benefits, and discrimination.
He presents these issues to a mainstream audience, sparking meaningful discussions.
🏆 Our Accessible Organisation Award goes to Designability, makers of the Wizzybug powered wheelchair.
The Wizzybug gives more independence to pre-school-aged children, enabling disabled children to thrive alongside their peers.

🏆 The winner of our Campaign award is the British Deaf Association, for their BSL Act Now campaign.
British Sign Language (BSL) is now recognised in law in England, Scotland, and Wales. British Deaf Association’s campaign influenced this milestone.
