So what is it about the political context of this image that excites so much trad enthusiasm? Is it the fact that until ca. 1970, people of color were legally barred from accessing the subsidized mortgages with which the US government created the white middle class? 4/

I really can’t say for sure. But I doubt they’re pining for a system of progressive taxation designed to subsidize public goods that disproportionately benefit the less well-off. So it must be some combination of the other stuff, which is not good. /end
