Anyone in the state government who thinks state parks need some kind of gimmick to attract visitors has obviously never tried to go to a state park. As Scott rightly points out, try getting in after 10 am. This idea is so out of touch with what people want.

Also, it's telling DEP still hasn't answered this simple question from 4 days ago. The answer should've been an automatic no-brainer. "We will openly and competitively bid this out." That's how ethical government works. The fact that they didn't says a lot. And none of it's good

And I would love to have a second house in the keys. Unfortunately, the people who bought the materials and paid for the labor to build it didn't give the house away for free - because if they did, they wouldn't be able to build any more houses after that.
