RIP Tony Soper, who died today ( aged 95). My interest in nature was awakened by his books and TV shows. In retrospect he never appeared to get the recognition I feel he deserved.

Everyone of a certain age remembers Johnny Morris from Animal Magic but who remembers the other guy, Tony Soper who passed away at the age of 95.

Wikipedia tells me that an episode of “Wild Track” presented by Tony Soper is a bonus feature in the DVD set of the “Life on Earth” (1979) series by David Attenborough. I have watched the DVDs of the whole “Life” series, and I never noticed.
