MunroeL Chris McGuinness Rory Talks Football You’re so close. Veltman went to kick the ball AT rice, he only kicked rice because rice kicked the ball away. Veltman wouldn’t be so stupid to just absolutely leather an opponent with VAR. Quite easy to understand but apparently you’re still not quite getting it 🤷🏼‍♂️ go figure.

Phil Nicholls Chris McGuinness Rory Talks Football I agree they both knew what they were doing. Finally agree on something. Rice ment to kick the ball away, Veltman ment to kick Rice. Easy, oh, and for the record, I'm not an Arsenal fan.

Jack did a great job last night but Veltman hasn't put a foot wrong yet this season. Who would you start at right back this Saturday? #bhafc

Mike This Arsenal DailyAFC Fairs that makes more sense, still baffling how the AR didn’t see or make any comment on the kick by Veltman though. Yeah, the Pedro incident is unequivocally wrong, so didn’t feel the need to mention that.

unknownTERRItory Jordan Smithurst Monty ChelseaPGH Mark Goldbridge 100% agree. ludicrous comment. The point of this debate is Rice did something that happens all the time and doesn’t get punished consistently……which is exactly what Veltman did by trying move the ball forward to cheat and then kicking a rolling ball. Bollock both, or book both

Dale Johnson I think you might be mixing up confusion with disagreement. Webb et al disregard the moving ball and the obvious violent conduct. Anybody who thinks Veltman kicked Rice by mistake doesn’t understand how quick footballers make decisions.

Dale Johnson The actions of Veltman were to get Rice sent off. moved ball forward from Foul then kicked Rice , where the ball would not have been as it owuld hav ebeen a meter ahead and still moving.. Veltman must go as well.

Gareth (@garethahowell) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Kamlesh Jetha Loulou Gunner ❤️ Mark Goldbridge Veltman kicked the stationary ball from the where the foul took place at Rice who was retreating and facing the opposite direction. So he’s either taken the free kick or he’s time wasting as the moment he kicks the ball the free kick needs to be pulled back.

Ross (@rh_1872) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Dale Johnson I would have issued a yellow to Veltman too. He knows exactly what he’s doing there by booting Rice. Rice clearly in the way and the ball is rolling too. He’s very smart but has used the situation to his advantage to kick Rice. Not worthy of a red as some are claiming.

Rutger (@rvdhafca) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Ryan st Kris Williamson Dale Johnson Hardly. Either they all are given or none should be. Normally, unless it's blatant, it goes unpunished. It's bizarre that Veltman's kick on Rice's leg wasn't properly examined.

Liam Mulvey (@liamjmulvey) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Dale Johnson Can you explain how they ignore violent conduct (yet again)? If rice doesn't kick the ball then veltman still absolutely whacks rice. He would kick the ball but still kick Dec. It's reckless and violent conduct yet var totally ignore it.
