Ga mond uw spoelen aub

Scott Mescudi Monty Sky Sports Premier League Did Rice delay a potential restart by kicking the ball away? It's black and white. Did Veltman intentionally go high on him or was it his natural follow through from trying to take a freekick, that's open to interpretation.

"The ball was coming to a stop" The only way it would have come to a stop is because it hit Declan's leg 🤣 The FK was already taken by Veltman kicking a stationary ball which he did so directly at Rice's foot, it then started rolling towards the touchline. We don't know if it

Ronan Monty Sky Sports Premier League He chose to apply the full letter of the law to Rice but not Pedro or Veltman. That doesnt mean the rules are subjective it means the ref chose not to apply them for whatever reason. The VAR audio you can hear the ref saying ‘he has no choice’ (wrong) as hes following the rules.

RED BALLOON Magic hat Sky Sports Premier League PGMOL Rice instinctively touched the ball about a foot away. He didn't even know Veltman was trying to take a quick free kick. If Veltman was ACTUALLY trying to take a quick free kick, he wouldn't have thrown the ball at/in front of Rice.

Gareth unknownTERRItory Monty ChelseaPGH Mark Goldbridge Let’s say it was the other way round. Veltman was on a yellow and he kicked the ball away in exactly the same situation Would you be annoyed if he wasn’t booked?

Jordan Smithurst (@j_smithurst) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Gareth unknownTERRItory Monty ChelseaPGH Mark Goldbridge But what Rice did is punished more often. Yes it needs more consistency The original point of the debate was Veltman should’ve been sent off and rice shouldn’t have been

Defi Du Seuil (@defiduseuil) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Alex AFC GLEN Exactly this. VAR were never talking to the ref they were talking to each other RE Veltman. VAR had no input whatsoever the ref can’t hear them.

Phil Nicholls (@phil_um) 's Twitter Profile Photo

MunroeL Chris McGuinness Rory Talks Football You’re so close. Veltman went to kick the ball AT rice, he only kicked rice because rice kicked the ball away. Veltman wouldn’t be so stupid to just absolutely leather an opponent with VAR. Quite easy to understand but apparently you’re still not quite getting it 🤷🏼‍♂️ go figure.

MunroeL (@munroel) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Phil Nicholls Chris McGuinness Rory Talks Football I agree they both knew what they were doing. Finally agree on something. Rice ment to kick the ball away, Veltman ment to kick Rice. Easy, oh, and for the record, I'm not an Arsenal fan.

Jack did a great job last night but Veltman hasn't put a foot wrong yet this season. Who would you start at right back this Saturday? #bhafc

Scott Mescudi (@scottmescu6250) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Mike This Arsenal DailyAFC Fairs that makes more sense, still baffling how the AR didn’t see or make any comment on the kick by Veltman though. Yeah, the Pedro incident is unequivocally wrong, so didn’t feel the need to mention that.

Gareth (@garethahowell) 's Twitter Profile Photo

unknownTERRItory Jordan Smithurst Monty ChelseaPGH Mark Goldbridge 100% agree. ludicrous comment. The point of this debate is Rice did something that happens all the time and doesn’t get punished consistently……which is exactly what Veltman did by trying move the ball forward to cheat and then kicking a rolling ball. Bollock both, or book both

Andy Rayner (@roorayner) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Dale Johnson I think you might be mixing up confusion with disagreement. Webb et al disregard the moving ball and the obvious violent conduct. Anybody who thinks Veltman kicked Rice by mistake doesn’t understand how quick footballers make decisions.

dave22829 (@daveawalker_61) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Dale Johnson The actions of Veltman were to get Rice sent off. moved ball forward from Foul then kicked Rice , where the ball would not have been as it owuld hav ebeen a meter ahead and still moving.. Veltman must go as well.
