Today the new stone commemorating #AnnWalker & her aunts replaced the little marker stone. Tributes of natural flowers are welcomed but please could they be placed around & not on the memorial to avoid staining it. Thank you in advance.

ANN’S LEDGER STONE We took a trip over to Lightcliffe this evening to see the newly installed ledger stone. It is remarkable. It has been a long time coming and a fitting tribute for Ann #AnnWalker

Visited St Matthew's Churchyard, Lightcliffe this afternoon to see the new ledger stone which has recently been installed commemorating #AnnWalker & her aunts, Mary and Ann. Lovely to see the flower tributes.

On Sunday 16th June 2 - 4 pm Lightcliffe tower will be open to allow visitors to see #AnnWalker's plaque & other Walker memorials. Of course the newly placed ledger stone to Ann & her aunts can be viewed anytime in the footprint of the now demolished church.

Lightcliffe tower will be open Sunday 20 July 2 - 4 pm allowing visitors to see #AnnWalker's plaque & other Walker memorials. The tower can be opened at other times on request depending on the availability of keyholders.

The summer tower openings including this Sunday 21st July 2024 2 - 4 pm.

The rhododendron bush by George Mackay Sutherland's chest tomb got a serious prune yesterday now that it has finished flowering. Keeping the tomb & surrounding area in good condition is required by a 1935 agreement between some of his grandchildren & the PCC.

On Sunday 18th August 2 - 4 pm Lightcliffe tower will again be open. Visitors are welcome to explore inside & then follow the canes around the grave plots of some of the real #GentlemanJack characters including #AnnWalker's.
