A Sowerby's beaked whale was found dead stranded at Thurstaston, Wirral at the weekend. Sadly, the body had disappeared when Dee Sailing Club checked onsite. It may turn up again nearby- please let us know if you hear more in case we can recover it for #CSIOfTheSea examination

Boat-ramming orcas may be using yachts as practice to hunt tuna. Once an individual tuna is separated, they tire it out & drive it towards shallow waters. Orcas use similar actions against yachts. Repeatedly ramming the rudder before trying to bite it. livescience.com/animals/orcas/…
