Had an amazing away day with our MSc Environmental Economics at LSE Geography & Environment. We measured pollution around London, enjoyed a lecture on biodiversity from Ben Groom at Hampstead Heath, and finished with lunch & drinks at a nice pub after a long walk. What an incredible cohort!

AFE has arrived in London! I started AFE back in 2011 as a venue for people to present their field experiments. Roughly 15-20 people attended. Now, we have roughly 300 people attending the conference this year. Interestingly, 85% of the attendees are new! That is exactly

Biodiversiy is declining, yet we have limited knowledge about how that affects human well-being. My work linking bats, insecticide use, and human infant health is out today in Science (science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…), and tells a complex story about how those are connected.
