CCVC and CVCC word structures can be a really tricky step for emergent readers & spellers- often harder than learning simple digraphs. We do lots and lots of practice at decoding & encoding these words from Foundation onwards. Well done Pre-Primary students!

Today, we held our third staff meeting using this new structure, which includes instructional rehearsals. This time, our focus was on refining our pair-share routines. We had valuable discussions, sharing ideas on how to fine-tune our routines for even greater effectiveness.

We are so impressed with Room 10s incredible writing about 18th Century England, linking to their Ochre novel study ‘Convict Boy’. Big shout out to this student who explained the differences in food for the poor and rich during this time. Ochre Education

3 students from Room 8 snuck in a quick Thursday Ninja maths test because they were SO eager to try for their next badge! Talk about determination! (Ninja tests are only offered on Fridays, but who could say no to these little legends?). 👏 👏

RELEASE ALERT! Today we release the last of the materials from The Syntax Project. Just over a year ago we became the proud custodians of The Syntax Project, building on the amazing work begun by Steph Le Lievre, Rebecca Glasson, Christina Guy and Jasmyn Hall.
