The patients who join our creative therapist Holly in her Day Services sessions have created this wonderful image of the Wrekin. Each was given a canvas 'tile' which then, when put together, formed a collage of Shropshire's highest hill. Isn't it great?

The lovely ladies from Ellesmere Support Group held a summer luncheon which raised £1,500 for us. The annual lunch was held at Criftins Hall and was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who went along and supported us.

It's our fab Dragon Boat Festival this weekend. Racing gets underway on the River Severn in Shrewsbury on Saturday morning with the final at around 4pm. And then it all starts again on Sunday. The event raises thousands of pounds for our care - but we couldn't do it without you.

Kelly and Nick took on Snowdon in memory of their brother-in-law Nick and raised £500. They took the Pyg route up and came down the Llanberis track in 4hrs and 57 minutes. What a fantastic challenge - thank you so much for your support and to everyone who gave so generously.

It's time for our amazing Dragon Boat Festival. The boats are lined up, the teams raring to go and the fun will get underway at 9am tomorrow morning. Come on down to Shrewsbury's River Severn and cheer on our dragons. The fun continues on Sunday - same time, same place.

Gardening & Tonic group had a lovely time taking part in the Butterfly Conservation's Big Butterfly Count today. They were joined by OT Holly and hospice volunteers Fay and Yoko as they took a stroll around our gardens at Apley to see how many butterflies they could spot.

Our gardens are lovely right now and Humphrey is certainly enjoying the savannah grasses. He was a gift from an incredible supporter and stands proudly outside our Elephant Room at Apley. The gardens are tranquil areas which bring comfort to our patients, visitors and staff.

Our Gardening & Tonic group met for the final time last week. The group met for six sessions and, between potting up cuttings and enjoying our gardens, they made a planter with a variety of sempervivum plants. The sessions promote greater confidence for our patients.

The Income Generation team had their annual team away day which took place @hawkstoneparkhotel. The day was a huge success at such a fantastic venue. Special thanks are sent to everyone at Hawkstone Park.

Dom and Toni had a stall at the recent floating boat market in Market Drayton. They were selling items for us and raised £320! And they even had a visit from the Town Crier. Thanks to you both for your incredible support.

Shropshire Woodcarvers have made a magnificent sculpture which is now on display in our sanctuary and matches another that they made for Bicton. Each heart is hand carved and then forms a larger piece. Thanks so much for the beautiful donation it will be comfort all who see it.
