A huge thanks to Morrisons Up Hatherley team! Collaborating with them, Sewa Day at Cheltenham team successfully collected 800+ food items and essentials. These items have been distributed to 6 local food banks and pantries, all of which are doing incredible work for the needy!!

New data from The Trussell Trust shows that in Coventry North West, 1245 out of 3305 emergency food parcels provided last year were for children - 37.6%. That’s why I’ve teamed up with Sewa Day to support their School Hamper Campaign, collecting food for the May half term holidays.

Many local charities like Sewa Day have been stepping up to provide short term relief to children and families across our city, but it is not a long term solution. We need meaningful action from those in power so children and families do not continue to go hungry.

It was a privilege for Sewa Day at Cheltenham to be part of the No Child Left Behind Olympics theme day. Our volunteers managed to serve fresh fruits to 100s of children from all across Gloucestershire. Many local families expressed their gratitude,making the experience incredibly humbling
