REMEMBERING: Today we remember FireFighter Fleur Lombard QGM, 21, from Speedwell Fire Station, Avon Fire & Rescue Service who tragically died in the line of duty fighting a fire at Leo's supermarket, in Staple Hill, Bristol twenty eight years ago today.

Today we have had a visit from our colleagues from Prees Fire Station for a joint Hazardous Materials training session 🛢️☠️🧤 Numerous areas covered including #IOR #HazardIdentification #DECON #ProtectingTheEnvironment 🌳🐠 Training to ensure #OperationalExcellence 🚒🧑🏻‍🚒👨🏽‍🚒✅

EXERCISE NOTIFICATION: There will be a simulated chemical spill exercise tonight, at the Burnside Industrial Park, in Market Drayton starting at 7pm. Cosmetic smoke will be used so do not be alarmed. Crews from Whitchurch Fire Station Prees Fire Station @SFRS_Newport attending 🧑🏻‍🚒👨🏽‍🚒🚒

RECRUITMENT: Tuesday 13th August 5pm til 6.30pm we are holding an on call firefighter information session. Come along to meet the crew, ask questions and see the equipment we use. If you are over 18 and live within 5 minutes of a fire station you could be an on call firefighter.

WINNERS!! We are very pleased to announce we have won the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Stations in Bloom competition 2024 Grassed Station category. Our display of edible flowers, fruits, herbs and vegetables wowed the judges and earned us the prize! All produce to be donated to Market Drayton Food Bank
