Beautiful morning at Northey Avenue. Matches were against Carshalton Boys, wins for 10a, 10 b and 8s with defeats for 9b, 7a and 7 b teams. The 'arty' picture was from a window of one of the PE staff first thing this morning, so relief that all games went ahead.

Our first XI made it to the Borough Cup final with a convincing win over Glenthorne. We have 4 matches tomorrow v KCS, 2 v Boxhill Wednesday, 5 v KCS on Friday and 8 v Dunnotar on Saturday. #footballbusy

A beautiful morning at Northey Ave, with six tight matches against Latymer Upper - 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. Away, our 9s won one and lost one and our 7s disappointing season continues.

Great set of matches v Old Suttonians FC 1st XI won 3-2 (first win for a decade), 2s lost 3-2, Y11s lost 8-0, Y12s lost 7-3 and Y13s drew 2-2.

Marvelous game of basketball today. SGS won narrowly in a tense league semi final against St Andrews.

Two close matches for our netball teams this evening, both against local rivals Nonsuch. The A team won by 4 and the B team lost by 5.

More Cup Final heartbreak.....this evening the 1st XI lost 1 - 0 to Wilson's in a game in which we dominated but did not create too many chances. We thank the Upper Sixth for their efforts over the years.

A really wet day at Borough Sports. The results aren't in yet but some fantastic individual performances. The Year 10 were in with a shout of winning before a disastrous 4 x 100

Marvelous win for the U12 cricket team today in Esher. 11 needed off the last over with a new batter facing. New batter rose to the occasion! Rutlish next (well, apart from Glyn at the weekend).

Cricket on at the moment. Keep checking on here and SMH though, as the forecast is grim.

Cricket v Glyn. Not quite sure how we dodged the worst of the showers - but we did. Comfortable wins for the 9s and 7a team, a one run loss for the 7b team and 12 run defeat for the 8s.

Successful Saturday for SGS cricket teams, as we won every match against Royal Russell! Special mention for the Y8s, who won for the first time in a really close game.

Sports Day! A 'goldilocks' one. Not too hot, not too cold.....just right (although, if the sun wants to pop it's head out for a bit, that will be fine).
