12 Years ago DIGG was the leading social media site and the chief driver of traffic outside of search engines. After one monetization driven redesign, the site collapsed overnight as the userbase fled. Within a week it was dead as anyone knew it. It can and does happen that fast.

This is an absolutely fantastic flight app and the best use of the dynamic island feature that I’ve seen. I’m currently using it on a flight to All Things Open syncing with my TripIt. I paid for it.

Twitter has roughly 300,000 verified accounts. Most are corporate. (I am, surprisingly, a notable human.)

Charging $240 a year for verification would be worth about $72 million a year if everyone paid. Twitter is about $3 billion in profit short of justifying a $44B acquisition.
