Spotlight: Peninsula Improved supervision of PAs at Torbay and raised the issue of scope of practice across the region. Successfully appealed incorrect ARCP decisions due to TOOT from industrial action. Protected strikes from incorrect derogation or recall. 1/3

In Torbay: improved staffing, introduced awards for resident doctors and improved teaching provisions. In Exeter: successfully introduced IMT protected clinic time and continuing to fight unfair rota practices. Supported national BMA work on MAP scope of practice. 2/3

Spotlight: Severn Uncovered a regional locum rate cap through FOI requests and escalated through letters, media, and collaborative action. Successfully pushed against unsafe PA job adverts where PAs were acting beyond their scope of practice & replacing doctors on rotas. 1/3

Spotlight: South Thames Ensured no doctor's training was extended due to exceeding TOOT limit as a result of striking. Supported doctors who received an unexpected outcome at ARCP and helped any inappropriate outcomes were reversed.

Spotlight: West Midlands Successfully lobbied for patient safety and training opportunities for doctors by stopping the roll out of PAs at a Trust. Walked wards, organised pickets and co-ordinated with national demos to ensure strong industrial action. 1/3

DoctorsVote has backed many women all the way from regional rep roles, to chair and deputy chair positions in UKRDC and JDConf. This weekend, we’ll be shining a light on some long-standing female reps, as well as some excellent new women who are joining this year. 1/4

As well as co-chairing RDConf 2024, Mel has led nationally on MAPs for over a year. Her fierce determination to protect patients and doctors’ training brought us the first MAPs Scope of Practice document, giving us the chance to turn the tide on years of scope creep. 2/4

After finding her feet as Yorkshire’s Comms Rep last year, Madjda will chair the NWRRDC this year, and lead her region nationally. Madjda is committed to the FPR campaign, but is also dedicated to improving day-to-day working conditions locally for those in her new region. 3/4

A fantastic new recruit for 2024, Emma will co-chair Peninsula RRDC & build on the strides made by DV reps last year. She plans to utilise her experience from other sectors to hold employers to account on their contractual obligations, & ensure fairer conditions for doctors. 4/4
