Well that seemed a successful day. Joint venture between SHU Paramedic & Yorkshire Ambulance, sponsored by The Ortus Group. 90 + attendees ranging from 2nd yr #studentparamedics to Advanced Paramedics gathered for a great day of #ECG CPD with Whitbreadsecgbootcamp. Some great interactions.

As part of our continued partnership working, this afternoon some of our 2nd/3rd yr #studentparamedics have been working with South Yorkshire Fire recruits in #prehospital RTC simulation scenarios. Sharing ideas & learning between services can only improve patient care. JESIP AHP SHU

Thanks to the crew of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance yesterday for hosting our 1st Yr #studentparamedics. This week they are out visiting various areas of the trusts, learning how these specialist units can support their #prehospital clinical practice. 🚁 AHP SHU

Continuing their visits across the Yorkshire Ambulance & East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust, trusts, our 1st yr #studentparamedics are working in EOC. Observing with emergency & IUC call handlers, dispatchers & other clinical desks. Gaining valuable insight into call handling/triage & dispatch AHP SHU

Thanks to #HEMS Para Lucy for hosting our East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust #studentparamedics for their visit to Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. Thankfully the students managed to get a quick view of the 🚁 before a tasking. All came away better informed of how to ensure effective joint #prehospital working AHP SHU

Thank to Yorkshire HART for hosting our 1st Yr #studentparamedics yesterday for their final day of visiting some of the specialist areas of Yorkshire Ambulance & East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust . Our students definitely now understand the support/HART response better in supporting pt care AHP SHU

This morning as part of our on-going curriculum refresh, some of our Paramedic team have been filming new exemplary clinical skills videos for our #studentparamedics to refer to and develop their own practice. AHP SHU #education

This PM was the final day for our “S21” #studentparamedic cohort. They’ve come to the end of their SHU Paramedic journey & take the leap into becoming registered #paramedics . It’s been fun & emotional, but you should all be very proud of your achievements. #thefutureprofession
