On BBC News with Dominic Hughes and Imogen Foulkes talking about #mpox, which is now a global health emergency. 12 African countries have reported cases with 96% of them in the DRC. Getting vaccines to the continent has been a challenge for nations here. #monkeypox #africa

As for my old brief… during a recent restructure, the BBC announced it was closing several network correspondent roles, including its two specialist Community Affairs correspondent positions. This means my former role is now closed.

Another BTS: Covering a protest doesn't start on the 1st day of the demonstration if you want to get the full story... here's part 1 of what it was like to cover the nationwide #endbadgovernanceinnigeria #endbadgovernance #protests in #Nigeria. A lot of work! But I learned a lot.

Despite #mpox being a global health emergency, it’s been impossible for me to get the #vaccine in the UK as a woman: You can’t get it privately, whether through your GP or at a pharmacy, nor can you get it at an #NHS clinic unless you are a man who has sex with men. #monkeypox
