My 44yo brother had a major heart attack 3 weeks ago that went undiagnosed because his only symptom was SOB. He's now admitted to hospital and in congestive heart failure. There's a lot more complex stuff that has made this even harder for him. Grateful to the nurses who get it

One of the things I love most about working with people with lived experience in the medical system is I feel super comfortable being like "I'm going to take notes on my computer because I have neuralgia in my hands and writing is hard" and I've always had total acceptance

In two different meetings today I came across people from older positions I worked in and it was nice to reconnect and see all the awesome work they're doing now (neither were with the company I worked for. We were external partners)

Hello Twitter strangers and a few people I actually know in real life. We've started the Alternate Care process (to be foster parents, emergency placements, and foster to adopt ) We've had a few interviews and filled out a ton of paperwork. I'm excited and nervous.

My brother's eye is disintegrating. The ophthalmologist is going to try some freezing technique to see if they can stop it otherwise they need to remove his eye. He's blind in the eye (optic atrophy) so it won't affect his vision but I didn't know eyes could just disintegrate!

20% of us choose to live and work and raise our families in rural Canada. Rural Canadians provide this great nation with its wheat, its wood, its fish and its minerals. These are dangerous jobs. Rural Canadians deserve access to high quality emergency medical and trauma care.

There are 3 truths about Canadian healthcare that the public will acknowledge in the next two years: 1. Healthcare is collapsing across Canada because of decisions to underfund it over the past two decades. For folks who say it’s unsustainable, we’ve been saying that for 30

My partner who hates big North American cities told me today that when (not if) EPIC: The Musical eventually goes to Broadway he'll go to NYC to see it. I will also.

When Tim Walz is ready to wrap up an evening, he always does the deep sigh, simultaneous both knees slap, stand and “welp”.

My dad has stage 4 cancer. He filed a complaint with CTA against Air Canada (cancelled flight due to lack of staff). He said he's staying alive to see the outcome... Next month it'll be 2 years since he filed.

Does anyone happen to know what time on Oct 15th the #NACIC24 starts? Wondering if I need to book flights on Thanksgiving Monday (limited flights) or if I can make the morning of the 15th work.
