It was great to see Amanda Clarke feature on last night's episode of the TG4 series Ag Triall ar an Tobar. In 2022 Amanda wrote a wonderful article about holy wells for our Journal. She also gave a lecture to the society on the topic and recorded a short video for us.

We don't know the identity of the man or donkey or even where this was taken in 1971 but it was in the #Skibbereen area - anyone recognise them?

Headstone of Andrew Gallway, St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Baton Rouge, today. From #Skibbereen , he was mortally wounded at Port Hudson in 1863. His brother Edward was the 2nd soldier (& 2nd Irishman) to die in the American Civil War, from wounds received at Fort Sumter in 1861.
