Quick turnaround for this amazing Rising Stars camp staff. We finished the 21-22 school year on Friday and were already back at work today preparing for our 60+ MLs coming tomorrow- #lex1esol Lexington County School District One
LOVED spending time with Lexington County School District One ML teachers today 🤩 Each tcher received a copy of my book #IfUonlyKnewBook & we did some heavy work around storytelling, student profiles, monologues, & action steps to better serve our MLS Seidlitz Education South Carolina ML Educator Network Carolina TESOL
We learned how to use #Storytelling as a way to identify Ss’ culture, identity, and strengths. (Some tears were shed but it’s a good thing) Tchers made profiles using the stories found in my book #IfuOnlyKnewBook & made monologues with their students’ stories. Seidlitz Education
This professional development wouldn’t be complete without action steps. This work may take time to be 100% implemented, but these action steps are a plan to get us where we need to get for our MLs. Creating safe spaces for students to tell their stories allows us to understand their strengths, culture, and identity. Thank you Emily Fɾαɳƈιʂ for leading our learning today in Lexington County School District One #Lex1ESOL
