The countdown to the 4th of July is on! SCFD wants to remind everyone to do their part in preventing fires & injuries caused by fireworks. FIREWORKS of ANY KIND including “Safe & Sane” fireworks are ILLEGAL in ALL areas of the Sonoma County Fire District!

SCFD firefighters are on scene with CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit at the #holstfire near Holst Rd. and Los Alamos Rd.

SCFD had the distinct honor of welcoming home our brave troops from the National Guard 579th Engineer Battalion yesterday. After a year-long deployment to the Middle East, these heroes have returned home to their families & community. Welcome home & thank you for your service!🇺🇸

⚠️Crews on scene of a vegetation fire on Chalk Hill Rd. SCFD has multiple units on scene assisting Northern Sonoma County Fire District & CAL FIRE LNU. 2 air tankers and a helicopter are also working from the air. No evacuations at this time, please avoid the area.

Strike Team Deployed. Yesterday, a wildfire ignited in Butte County near Chico, the Park Fire is now at about 71,000 acres. In response, our dedicated firefighters from the Sonoma County Fire District have been deployed as part of a Strike Team to assist in firefighting efforts.

We’re sending more help to the #ParkFire! OES 374 and WT21 just left Station 1 in Windsor as part of Task Force XSN 2201. We wish them safe travels! We want to assure you that while we have several units assisting at out of county fires, our stations remain fully staffed.
