Today marks 100 years since Sir Winston Churchill sent his first letter to his wife, Clementine, from Chartwell.

In 1924, Churchill and his 3 oldest children moved into Chartwell. On the 17th of April that year, he sent his dear wife their first letter from their new family home

We have new bulbs flowering in the garden! In autumn of last year we planted some new varieties and species of bulbs including Camassia leichtlinii ‘Caerulea’ and Camassia leichtlinii ‘Blue Heaven’ pictured here.
