if safety is a very high priority for you, we need you running media, logistics, food, cultural events, fundraisers, legal aid. we do *not* need you at the front lines.

Thank you to these protesters! They are attempting to "wedge" the police line, by forming a v-shaped point with the banners so they can break through. The banners were not solid enough to withstand police shoving back though so the wedge was not possible. Not for lack of heart!

Persons of conscience have an ethical and political obligation to disobey opportunism, to out-organize it, and to chart autonomous and independent paths forward for serious, combative, revolutionary self-organization.

It's not a coincidence that at our highest points, open anarchist organizations have onboarded tons of new people into struggle. nor that at our lowest points, anti-organizationalists, lifestylists, insurrectionists etc have kept the flame alive.

That said, I think most of why we've lost ground to authoritarian communism is that we don't promise easy answers. There's no Daddy Stalin telling us what to do and think. We recognize that we have to collectively develop the solutions.
