Any key takeaways from Motherwells last game? - Maswanhise is a danger man and they'll try to isolate him on the left? - CBs progress wide and rarely through the middle? - Miller key CM, and central play goes through him? - Robinson will drop into deeper positions to link play?

Liam Craig the prototype of what we want? Gone back to an old way to see if any other names appear and... Most seem shite. Jamie Lennon though ticks a lot of boxes? Transfermarkt says his contract expires in November. Quick look makes him look decent as a "controller" too.

Rightly or wrongly, tomorrows game probably defines supporters mood for the next month or so if good signings aren't made today. Nothing today, then a loss tomorrow, and the coin that flipped with the win over Kilmarnock probably flops back and there's huge pressure on Levein.

Know many wouldn't be happy with this, but I really liked him in his previous spell, and think he ticks a lot of boxes of what we need with what he brings in terms of ability and attitude.

Holt last time he was with us, and then last season in a Livi side that seemed to be awful. Can't expect goals, or assists, but he should bring everything else. Hopefully frees Matt Smith/Carey to feel more freedom in the final third, and might take the shackles off Essel too.

Footballers careers seem to be a succession of of sliding doors moments, where careers can swing based on an hour of football youve worked years to get. It seems a brutal way of working in your job tbh. Ross Sinclair is probably stood in front of one of those doors just now.

We know we lack some quality, so you really need the tactics to be spot on. Watching 55 minutes of a back 3 stuck in their half, while CMs go wide, and the middle is a gaping hole, was frustrating Most players totally failed at the basics on and off the ball, some unsurprisingly

Sorry if someone else mentioned it today, or if I've gotten it wrong, but believe that's now 11 games since our last league win at home (1-0 v Hibs, 16th December). We've scored 8 goals in those 11 games, conceding 17.

Lots of passing, not a lot of it doing anything but going sideways. Shape clear before subs? 5-4-1 with a diamond midfield. Clark, yet again, wasted/lost in that role. Same shape even after subs, and same problems. But Kirk/Holt/Carey played better than Clark/Essel/MacPherson.

Just incase anyone else interested in this. Unsure Transfermarkt data is correct for the older managers, but its the best place to easily make this from. Davidson - MacLean - Levein, effectively just Sandy Clark twice with Billy Stark wedged in between?

Charts hate him, but they've hated good players, and loved bad players, before. Would virtually force back 3 though? Both him and Cameron would command wages that need to be first choice, and both are heavily left sided. Not sure either great at LB in a 4.

It's the "way too early" debut of the Projected League Table. A few of these point projections will be pretty spot on, while more than a few will see real variance over the next couple of months. However, it can be a good measure of teams really stand based on performance.

From the mewling from Ibrox, it sounds like the 8 o'clock kick off is because Saints have refused to play along with their demands to switch grounds the game is at. Issue likely caused by them forgetting to request that weekend as an away game due to an event in Glasgow. Shame.

Didn't see any of the game, but going by this it was *another* attempt at 5-4-1 with a diamond midfield? Just feels like a waste of Clark really. Second half Hibs able to just funnel us into playing across the backline? Nice to see Holt involved heavily though.

To me, the set play problem is a player issue, not them being set up wrong. It's a lack of individual desire/ability to win things that leads to ball watching We also have a manager who can't regularly change things positively/inspire the players after going behind Horrible mix
