On this day in 1995, my life changed forever, as I had my first proper date with my beautiful wife. (I can't believe we had a second with the shirt I was wearing 🫣) Like all couples, we've had our ups & downs, but I wouldn't change a thing ❤️ I owe her everything & more 🥰

LCpl G left the team today, an exceptional young soldier from the The Royal Logistic Corps. He is driven, determined, & fun. He is a credit to his Regiment, Corps & the Wider British Army 🇬🇧 The team will miss his energy, infectious laugh, & quick wit. Go well G, see you when we get home 🇬🇧

There are too many upsides to serving to mention, but the one which I find hardest is being away & missing family events. Yesterday, my daughter and parther had the gender reveal for my first grandchild. I was able to watch on a stream, but I wish I'd been there with my family.

How time flies 🤯 three years ago today I graduated from the The NCO Leadership Center of Excellence. It was an amazing experience with just the best people. Who'd have thought that when I left Sunderland UK, I would be representing the British Army 🇬🇧 on such a prestigious course. If I can, anyone can ❤️ 🇬🇧

The team went 'plogging ' today, a sustainability initiative, which combines jogging with caring for the environment. We collected 3 bags of rubbish over a 10kn run/walk. it was great to be away from the office and do some good for the environment 🌎

I would not be the person I am today without the guidance, support, & friendships I have had over my 28 year career. I have worked with so many amazing people in the Household Cavalry, British Army 🇬🇧 & wider defence Thank you to everyone who has served or still serves #armedforcesday2024

I thought long & hard about sharing my team photo taken on Friday due to the wave of negativity sharing on here can get, but they deserve to be recognised, so here they are. What a #team, I am so proud of this young group. They have achieved so much already, lots more to come 💪

Things you love to see. When I came in this morning, the younger members of the team were already in unpicking an issue they had identified. Using their own set of skills & strengths to look at the problem collaboratively and work out a resolution. The definition of #Teamwork

I was having a great day, and then it got better. I received a check-in from my old mate Sgt Maj Norman French. Even though he has his own stuff going on, he still remembers to reach out. That is friendship, and that is the mark of the man. Thanks, Dennis, you are a true friend 🧡

It's almost 28 years since I took the Oath, & it's still the best decision I ever made. Serving in the British Army 🇬🇧 has been & continues to be the best job I could have ever wished for, meeting so many amazing people on the way. It's been quite the journey so far 🇬🇧

I'm not sure how true this stat is, but it is one of the things I loved about my time in the HCR, mainly because of the people I was with. Dean Goodall MBE being one person, I shared many a sunrise brew with. Some of the best times of my life 💙♥️💙
