Street newspapers provide accessible employment for thousands of people around the world. I don’t know many other work opportunities that are flexible enough to meet so many people’s unique needs. I worked at Clorox from 2006-2011. Security guards have always escorted employees to BART & parking garages. I lived near the office and would get a ride home. This ain’t new & they should be ashamed acting like this is a new practice.

UC Police, Berkeley rashly drove into a closed street where community activists, students, and children were gathered to paint a street mural for #PeoplesPark. Officers were responding to a call that APEX security guards were being "surrounded by people." But no one had threathen them.
