Among the many many contributions to our industry, what I respect most about Roy Vagelos is his unwavering commitment to helping others. Congrats on an amazing run ⁦Regeneron⁩, stepping down at age 93.

Thanks to Daphne Koller and all the folks at @Insitro for a terrific dialogue today. I’m inspired to see what’s possible as you blend human biology and machine learning!

It was such an honor to have the privilege of interviewing Dr. Sue Desmond-Hellmann as the opening plenary at our invivo week at insitro. She inspired all of us in our journey to use #MachineLearning towards bringing better medicines, faster to patients who can benefit the most.

Chuck Feeney intended to die with an empty wallet. One cannot overstate how much his generosity meant to #UCSF. His “Giving while living” was always done with a twinkle in his eye and a big heart. I still have the dated coffeeshop napkin “get the hospital built before I die”.
