Sussex Roads Police All lanes have now reopened on the #A27 in both directions between the #A24 (Grove Lodge, Worthing) and the #A2025 (Lancing) following the earlier collision.

#RPUA have been out conducting checks in #BRIGHTON. This morning one vehicle was seized due to the driver being disqualified And another arrester for drug driving.

We have just finished dealing with this single vehicle collision on the A2011 Crawley Avenue, Crawley. Driver failed the roadside drug wipe and is currently in custody. He thought smoking the night before was fine. Fatal 5. #drugdriving.

The driver of this vehicle had a very lucky escape this afternoon on the A283 between Dacre Gardens and Shoreham. A high sided HGV has struck a branch which has detached and struck the car. If you witnessed or have dash cam please contact Sussex Police quoting CAD 904 14/5/24.

UPDATE - The #A27 is now closed westbound within the #A283 junction (for #Shoreham). Traffic is diverting around the incident via the exit and entry slip roads whilst our service providers work to repair a damaged bridge parapet. Please allow for extra journey time.

The A27 westbound from Holmbush to Lancing is down to one lane where traffic is being diverted off to the A283 and then back onto the A27. This is because of substantial damage to the barrier for the bridge. National Highways: South-East aware. Please avoid The area if you can.
