As today marks 6 months since #HeratEarthquake, we want to thank our key donors incl. CERF - The UN's emergency fund & the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (#AHF), for their support. Their assistance has enabled us to provide lifesaving aid to nearly 60k people in 77 affected villages across 8 districts.
Tomorrow marks 6 months since #HeratEarthquake. It devastated homes and claimed many lives. UNHCR Afghanistan has provided lifesaving aid to nearly 60k people, offered psychosocial support to over 5.1k individuals & distributed solar lamps to 7.5k households in 77 affected villages.
Psychosocial counsellors provide counselling services to a woman, whose home was destroyed during the October 2023 #HeratEarthquake and tragically lost her 4-month-old daughter. The earthquake survivor also received cash assistance with the support of UNFPA and CERF - The UN's emergency fund
