'This thing, we're being well looked after. I can't help but think, so what. I certainly don't think it's relevant. You make any point about the morality of this and people say, we're being well looked after. I couldn't be less impressed.' Nick on the new episode, available now.

Judd Trump: ‘There is a different kind of buzz similar to the Crucible here and everyone has hoped this would happen to snooker. Some of the events in the Home Nations apart from Northern Ireland feel a bit second tier in how they are set up. You can feel the excitement here.’

WST on lack of fans in Saudi: ‘Tickets have sold well for the final weekend so it’s a similar pattern to the UK, with crowds building as the week goes on. This is the first year of a ten year partnership and we will be working to build snooker in this region for the next decade.’

'They may as well be playing in cubicles in qualifiers. There is literally no crowds in for most of the matches I've seen. I was watching Vafaei against Woollaston and there was about five people there and no ticket buying fans.' Phil on the new episode, available now.

WATCH this hugely unfortunate moment for Ding Junhui in Saudi Arabia tonight as his tip comes off and hits a red as he pots a black when well placed in a deciding frame against Stuart Bingham. A foul was called and Bingham took frame and match. #TalkingSnooker

I'd hazard a guess that the last thing the organisers of snooker's new fourth major in Saudi Arabia wanted was an exit for Ronnie O'Sullivan tonight. Crowds have been virtually non-existent throughout the tournament, apart from for O'Sullivan matches.

Judd Trump defends the low crowds at snooker's new fourth major in Saudi Arabia: 'I think anyone who's been here before understands people don't get up at 2 o'clock. It's a nighttime place. I feel a responsibility to make the game attractive for fans to come and watch.'

Two of snooker's biggest names will meet in the final of the sport's new fourth major in Saudi Arabia. Judd Trump will face Mark Williams in the best of 19 frames final. Keep your thoughts on the tournament coming please. Phil and Nick will be back with the podcast soon.

'The powerful world number one and the wily veteran have their strengths, but don’t think Trump can’t tie you up in knots and Williams can’t blast you away with breaks.' Thoughts on a tasty Williams vs Trump final and a step closer to a new superstar. metro.co.uk/2024/09/06/jud…

An absolute beaut of a final finishes with a stunning clearance of 72 from Judd Trump in the decider to pip Mark Williams 10-9 and win the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters. A break of 62 in the decider and lose. Heartbreaking. Although probably not for the animal that is MJW.

Immense credit to Judd Trump. On a few occasions at this event he's found himself under huge pressure, but dug himself out with great play and great heart. I'm one of the first to dish it out when he doesn't win big, so it's quite right I praise when he does. Generational talent.

‘That is something he is going to have win more of if he's going to challenge that conversation. The triple crown events are what matter when it comes down to it.’ Steven Hallworth says Judd Trump now must win more triple crown titles to be among snooker’s greatest players.
