Will be *officially* on holiday after tomorrow, because I’m presenting at TaPRA! I’m so excited! Particularly looking forward to the plenary on Black British theatre and performance as activist interventions and, of course, hearing the wonderful Hannah Thuraisingam Robbins (they/them) talk! 😄

Last day of TaPRA. I’m so excited for our first plenary and then to be presenting my early reflections on my audience research project in our BA grant. Thinking on our commitments/dilemmas as (racially) marginalised academics researching for and with “our” and proximate people.

This is the best plenary I’ve ever listened to/engaged with/been apart of (even though I was only able to join from afar).

Thank you Lynette Leni Goddard, Mojisola Adebayo and Vanessa Macaulay for sharing your thoughts, breath, and asking us to engage both as active, responsible accomplices and queer/female performers.

In the final paper of the Audience, Experience, and Popular Performance working group, we are closing the day by modelling precariousness in all its forms. The paper is punctuated by structures going up and falling down.

Such a pleasure and a privilege to be part of the TaPRA conference. Fascinating papers & presentations, and a chance to spend time with our lovely Methuen Drama authors and meet possible new ones. Thank you, TaPRA!
