Fatih Karahan - Cevdet Akcay and Hatice Karahan: what a CBRT team. The Three Central Bank Musketeers. Knocking it out of the park in the CBRT inflation report Q&A session. Transparent, clear, frank, professional.

Turkey - message from corporates is pretty grim: difficult export markets in Europe and competitive problems at home due to minimum wage hikes, pension reform, plus skill shortages at higher end of job market due to brain drain.

Message is hawkish - higher for longer and if higher inflation is sustained and persistent they will tighten further. So not ruling out further hikes. This is absolutely the right message.

Guess what? Turkey has a proper central bank again. Welcome back. Impressive inflation report presentation. Credible - realistic - suitably hawkish. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel - the incoming train is now going the other way.

Therefore, good that it's done, but it's far from enough.

We hope G7 in June will come up with a much more ambitious plan of supporting Ukraine with frozen assets. Europe's future is literally at stake if Ukraine fails due to insufficient and untimely aid

Looks like the IMF and Lagarde prefer to be on the wrong side of history when it comes to Russia. imf.org/en/News/Articl…

Brexit was such a win. But we do get to buy miss-shaped cucumbers and beer from pint glasses again. So much winning. Thank you Brexit muppets like Rishi Sunak.
