The problem is not drug addiction. The root of the problem is unresolved trauma. People seek using drugs as a unhealthy coping mechanism for things that have 'happened to them.'We are still not addressing the root causes of addiction if we do not address the childhood trauma.🧠🌱

Really boring legal point: the power to request medical evidence (and the handling thereof) is highly questionable in these circumstances.

Even more boring legal point: I’m not sure what would happen re disclosure of medical evidence where a child is Gillick competent.

The sheer arrogance required to try and aggressively impose an ideology on the country that 5% of the population, at best, subscribe to is unreal. Democracy isn't just a series of institutional processes, it's a basic level of respect for the public.
