Flash Flood in the desert — 2nd one in 48 hours. 5th one this summer. Deeply humbling and lends new depth to the word “awe.”

Friday’s flash flood — The velocity and volume of water was beyond comprehension. 4th one this summer.

The flash flood carved out this 30 foot alcove canyon —7to 8 feet high — catastrophic erosion before our eyes.

48 hours later another flash flood today. Adds new depth to the word “awe” — beauty and terror at once.

The erosional beauty of this landscape is what brought us here — This same erosional landscape is what may force us to leave. This is the 5th flash flood since June 21 this summer. Climate chaos is real and terrifying and commonplace. #utah

48 hours later, another flash flood today. You smell it before you hear it — You hear it before you see it and when you see that wall of water coming……with such force, it’s like seeing God, you cannot look away.
