A patient lost near 80 lbs with #Mounjaro in 8 months. With current weight of 265 lbs (BMI 45) and still having severe #obesity, patient will undergo #BariatricSurgery (gastric bypass) in the next few days to help her losing more weight.

Interestingly, the 2nd patient (285 lbs), who will have #BariatricSurgery (gastric bypass) on the same day, did not lose any weight with #Wegovy & #Mounjaro. Response to #obesity treatment is not uniform & we should consider all evidence-based options to help our patients.

Intensive lifestyle behavior therapy with these components has been tried in multiple studies. There were thoughts by many of the investigators if the therapies were intense enough,it would work. But none worked for severe obesity. Hormones are more powerful than IBT.Raj Misra
