Why in coaching does having all the years coaching matter SO much? Because I’ve seen older coaches be great and horrible and the same with young ones that have a lot less experience. So does experience matter that much? HC and coordinator jobs only for older coaches? Seem like it

Overlooked and underestimated

I can type a paragraph about this young man Lorenzo Perez! Congrats on accomplishing what you set out to do when we first met. He’s the epitome of a selfless, hardworking, mature young man and teammate. Howard Payne got a great one that we will miss! Go be great!

PPL like to downplay my time in the NFL because I was practice squad, ok, but even if I didn’t play play, the meetings I sat through and the coaches & players I learned, from can’t be disputed. Shane Steichen, Frank Reich, Hue Jack, James Urban, Keenan Allen, AJ Green, etc…

Mohammad Sanu, Marvin Jones, Eddie Royal. Not to mention the offensive genius Coach CAB and his staff. The knowledge I accumulated is far greater than my time as a player and “running go routes”

Even if college ball isn’t your goal, if you play football and want to be good, you should know the correlation between running track and playing football and RUN TRACK! 🤷🏿‍♂️

Don’t worry about being overlooked because they’re gonna look back and realized what they missed out on but it’ll be too late!

Be patient and keep working, it’ll come!

I had two HC interviews this offseason, made finalist for 1. Although I didn’t get it, I’m happy about 3 things. 1. They chose me out of all the other coaches to interview 2. It showed me I’m worthy of that position 3. Let’s me know to keep doing what I’m doing because I’m close
