We were able to get into the doctor. She isn't concerned about his flu as his lungs are clear. She is concerned about his colouring, lethargy and his last round of blood work. Sending us for more tests.

So Phin's blood work came back quite abnormal. We took him into the ER and from there we've been sent to the children's hospital. Because of his blood work and DS diagnosis they are concerned about leukemia or a bone marrow disorder. Please continue to pray.

So they are concerned that Phin may have cancer and they are giving him sugar and fake butter for breakfast.

*Update* He has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. We will be here at least 4 weeks. It's going to be a struggle to be away from my other children so long as well. I am comforted to know we serve a sovereign God who works all things for His glory.

Yes!

I feel like I've aged 10 years over the weekend.

Tomorrow afternoon Phin will be getting a bone marrow biopsy, lumbar puncture and his port put in. Please pray this procedure goes smoothly.

*update* procedure is complete and he is now resting. We have one hurdle behind us and a lot more to come but God is good in all things. Thank you faithful brothers and sisters for your love and prayer.

On a positive note my niece has been discharged from the hospital. She had a follow up appointment here and popped in to visit Phin. She isn't out of the woods yet and will need a transplant in the near future. Please keep her in your prayers as well.

There’s no greater painter than God.

Yesterday we got some good news. Phin's spinal fluid was clear and the leukemia hasn't spread there. We are so thankful for this mercy.

With everything going on I forgot to mention they say Phin was positive for covid. He's in "isolation" and we've been trying to keep him busy and occupied in a tiny room. He's being tested again Monday and if it's + again he can't leave his room for another 10 days. Please pray

The world’s greatest need is Jesus Christ.

One thing I can take from this experience is being more mindful of how I respond to parents who are grieving or have sick children. We don't always have to say everything that's on our mind.

We have been blessed with the opportunity to stay at Ronald McDonald House while Phin is in hospital. We are so grateful to sleep in a bed off and on, to eat a real meal and to see my other kids and watch them have a bit of fun during this time.
