Bluebells, blue bins, and strange patches of blue overhead. Today’s runners demonstrate the scamper, the stagger, the waddle, the sway; the totter, the swagger, the shuffle, the prance. A puddle-paddling-pigeon. That sunlit cherry tree is a suburban burning bush.

Welsh sea, some môr. A sleeping cat, two kittiwakes. A woman with a swaying gait passes through a creaking gate. A toad on the road. A gust of wind batters the chip shop. The lifeboat station is stationary, and lifeless. Molly’s arthritis hurts us both.

The annual David Goodbourn Lecture is coming up in May! Canon Dr Clare Amos will focus on the rising tide of violence and its association with religion.
