It's a cloudy morning over on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park so I headed to one of my favorite streams to photography. Onahu Creek on the west side is lush and covered with wildflowers and moss. Reminds me of something from the PNW or east coast.Happy Friday! #RMNP

There is a lot of wildfire smoke currently filling the skies of Rocky Mountain National Park. The smoke is mostly from fires in Canada and makes for some moody light. This is looking southeast from Flattop Mountain at sunrise. That's Bierstadt Lake in the middle of the image #RMNP

I spent the end of last week backpacking in the Wild Basin section of Rocky Mountain National Park. Wild Basin contains some of Rocky's best scenery. After getting rained on Friday afternoon, I was treated to this sunset at near Thunder Lake to close out the evening. #RMNP

Working through all my images from my backpacking trip into Wild Basin last week. Fan Falls is one of the more impressive waterfalls located in Rocky Mountain National Park. Located in a remote section of Wild Basin, its impressive from any angle. #RMNP

Good morning from Rocky Mountain National Park. I'll try to bring a little positivity this morning. Rockys tallest peak, Longs Peak shines in the moring light as seen from the alpine tundra. Smoke from the wildfires has mostly cleared out and it was cool at 11,000 ft.

Hallett Peak this morning at sunrise from Flattop Mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park. The views from Flattop are always worth the hike up from the Bear Lake Trailhead! Have a great day!

Little Buckaroo Barn is located in the Kawuneeche Valley on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park. Probably the best light I’be had at this location as clouds hung over the valley at sunrise yesterday morning. Have a good one!

Rainy morning in Estes Park but up on Trail Ridge the sun made a brief appearance. This view looking down on Fall River, over Big Horn Mountain and McGregor. Happy Friday!

This morning along the East Inlet. Low clouds hung over Baldy or Mount Craig as its formally known. The sun made attempts to break through the cloud cover which made for some great bounce light off Baldy on a beautiful late summer morning in Rocky Mountain National Park.

A late good morning from Rocky Mountain National Park where we had a stunning sunrise on Notchtop Mountain to start Monday. Hope some of you were able to catch the beatiful skies and light this morning as well.

Good morning. Yesterday we a dramatic sunrise on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park. I was up in Chasm Meadows just below Longs Peak taking in this view of the Twin Sisters, Peacock Pool and Columbine Falls. Hard to beat this view!

Currently about to board a plane back to Denver from Portland Maine. Landscapes her can’t be more different than this glacial erratic that sits below Chasm Meadow and Longs Peak from a sunrise last week. Looking forward to getting back to Rocky soon!

Good morning. I've been busy trying to be out in the field as much as possible as summer is rapidly fading in Rocky Mountain National Park. Chasm Lake at the base of Longs Peak and the Diamond is probably my favorite location in all of Rocky. Sunrise from Chasm a few weeks ago.

Good morning from Cub Lake today. Clouds skirt over Stones Peak and the Pond Lillies no longer have flowers and are starting to change color. Lots of signs of fall along the trail to Cub Lake this morning and in Rocky Mountain National Park. Still enjoying summer views though!

Good morning and happy Friday. We are still a few weeks away from peak aspen season in Rocky Mountain National Park but there is already some nice color in the ground cover in Rocky. The ferns along the Bear Lake corridor are sporting some nice yellow and orange.

Sorry for the lack of posts this week but with the autumn quickly approaching in Rocky Mountain National Park, I've been very busy out in the field capturing new fall images, elk and all the other awesome subjects to be found. Here's one from a calm morning at The Loch last week.

The once subtle signs of fall which began to creep into all the nooks and crannies of Rocky Mountain National Park are becoming much more obvious with each passing day now. Have a great start to the week!.

Autumn is getting a lot more noticable now in Rocky Mountain National Park. The color is really starting to pop in many areas. Yesterday, I spent sunrise at Cub Lake which now boasts new growth aspens courtsey of the 2013 Fern Lake fire that burned through the area.
