Clemson's 56 points in the first half vs Appalachian State set the "modern school record" for a half. Previous record was 52 at Georgia Tech in 2000. We don't call it the school record because Clemson scored 122 vs Guilford in 1901 and obviously had at least 61 in a half.

(1/2) Based on no historical facts that I can link, my observation is that Week 3 of the college football season is the worst game slate there is. For most part, we are done with cross-conference opening season games.

(2/2) The conferences themselves don't put their marquee teams playing each other early in the year. And we still get some non-conference snoozers for those teams that played marquee games in Week 1 or 2. Just seems and feels like Week 3 is always "weak".

One other comparison could be D Watson vs. UNC in 2014 D Watson was 27/36 for 435 yards with 6 TD's and 1 INT and a 12.1 YPR and a 95.8 QBR
