President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov have sent their condolences to the leadership of Iran following the tragic death of President Ebrahim Raisi سید ابراهیم رئیسی in a helicopter accident on May 19.

Having left a note of condolences at the Embassy of Iran, I expressed my deepest sympathies on my own behalf and the Embassy staff for the tragic loss of the President and Foreign Minister of Iran. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Iran during this difficult time.

Today, I had the honor of presenting a handmade Turkmen carpet depicting the great poet and philosopher Mahtumkuli Pyragy to the Secretary-General of the World Customs Organization, Mr. @iansaunders. This exquisite piece now adorns the WCO building, symbolizing Turkmenistan’s rich heritage.

Amb. Hemra Amannazarov met Reinhold Lopatka, Austrian MEP, who has been elected to the European Parliament on 9 June 2024. Interlocutors discussed issues of bilateral interest & agreed that there is high potential to enhance cooperation at TKM-AUT and TKM-EU levels. Turkmenistan in Belgium

On June 25, 🇹🇲 & 🇪🇺 concluded their 16th Human Rights Dialogue in Ashgabat. The 🇹🇲 side highlighted its commitment to human rights. Key topics: civil society, rule of law, judicial reforms, edu., healthcare, gender equality, children's rights, & rights of persons w/ disabilities.

At the Central Asian Amb. Energy Roundtable organized by #BREC in Brussels, 🇹🇲 Amb. Sapar Palvanov highlighted the country's solar energy potential & commitment to diversifying its energy sector. The event underscored the need for sustainable energy partnerships between CA & 🇪🇺.

Meeting with Mr. Henrik Hololei, Hors Classe Adviser DG INTPA, Peteris Ustubs Director at DG INTPA and European External Action Service - EEAS 🇪🇺 was a pleasure. We discussed strengthening cooperation in transport and launching the high-level meeting of the Trans-Caspian Coordination Platform in Turkmenistan.

Pleased to meet with Royal Belgian FA Director Peter Willems. We discussed establishing formal relations and cooperation between the football federations of Turkmenistan and Belgium. Plans include coach exchanges, training club directors, and preparing our players for matches ⚽️ .
