Steelers take West Virginia center Zach Frazier. Another possibility for the Cowboys gone but they felt there numerous centers available that could starter as a rookie if needed. But, they also profess some faith in Brock Hoffman.

Texas RB Jonathon Brooks off the Carolina. Now everybody will blame Jerry Jones for talking too highly of him Thursday. Cowboys thought extremely high of him and were OK with the recovery from the ACL. But I'm not so sure Jerry wasn't going a little overboard on purpose.

Tyler Guyton’s day started with his first flight on a private jet, getting his first jersey, seeing The Star and knowing his locker is near Zack Martin, Terence Steele and Tyler Smith.

The best parts of what the Cowboys did Thursday:

* Keep Tyler Smith at left guard
* Add a third round pick to fill holes
* Draft Tyler Guyton. Their track record w/ first round OL gives them the benefit of the doubt.

On Tuesday, Jerry Jones said he wanted to see more leaves fall when it came to the contracts of Dak Prescot, CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons. Since then, Detroit has signed Amon-Ra St. Brown and Philly signed A.J. Brown to lucrative deals. Jerry’s thoughts now?

Could the Cowboys go offensive line on Friday? Stephen Jones said the Cowboys like their five young guys already on board, but “we certainly wouldn’t be opposed to getting an interior guy,” he said.

Jerry Jones on Texas RB Jonathon Brooks: “In my 30 years I thought it was the best interview that I ever interviewed with a player. He’s outstanding. And he’s a great football player. We got him high, high, high. And he’s a good player.” Someone to think about in Day 2.

When the Cowboys made the move from No. 24 to No. 29, they eyed four players: Tyler Guyton, Darius Robinson, Jordan Morgan and Graham Barton. They had other opportunities to trade down from No. 29 but did not want to get out of the first round.
