“The Price” by Armen Keteyian and John Talty is the most fascinating, addictive sports book I’ve ever read. Reading one chapter and putting it down is like trying to eat just one Dorito. 😩 CFB fans will feel like they’re binging on 21 episodes of their favorite tv miniseries. 👏🏼

After an objective, analytical assessment of the Stalions Netflix documentary, I believe that Michigan, MSU, and OSU fans should all agree on at least one thing: JD Vance does not own the the exclusive rights to do and say things that make him look extremely weird and dishonest.

Interesting discussion about “leaks” in NCAA cases that fails to touch on why public schools routinely violate FOI laws that require disclosure of NCAA investigation documents or why the NCAA and schools think it’s so important that NCAA investigations be conducted in secrecy.

Speaking of famous quotes, Jason Rapert, Mark Twain once said: “Never pick a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel.” But by all means, please do. 🍿

Arkansas’ self-appointed, godly censor of library books Jason Rapert promised to come after certain journalists in today’s column like a wrecking ball but attacks them instead with a whiny, self-righteous spitball. “What a shock,” said no one who reads the Dem-Gaz. 🎤

A non-adversarial solution for Mike Gundy in response to the NCAA: “They’re motivation stickers. Nothing wrong with that.” 😐

As expected, it appears the always overly-confident NCAA misjudged its ability to sell a dubious class action settlement to a federal judge who’s been on the bench for more than 40 years and ruled against the NCAA in the O’Bannon case. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Kudos to the MAGA IT guy who took the time to label the video of tonight’s Saline County, AR GOP brawl. Can’t help but wonder whether the guy in overalls said he’d decided to vote for Harris/Waltz. 😊

Exhibit A for the proposition that the people influencing decisions about NIL are still in denial and continue to press for a strategy that won’t end well: A school president to Yahoo Sports: “There’s no reason to settle under these circumstances. Go to trial.”

UGA’s President doesn’t seem to understand that a class action adjudicates the rights of absent third parties, and settlements must be approved to make sure those third parties - college athletes, in this case - aren’t getting screwed. Don’t screw the athletes. Case closed. ✅
