Things are hard and, a reliable source says, going to get harder. How long then until parliament reacts? As the nation tightens its belts, dims its bulbs, prunes its profits & downs its data use, when will legislators call for a revision of their salaries & conditions of service?

The nay sayers (and there are some) will make much of a sovereign state, celebrated for its post-war peace, soliciting assistance from a nation fighting for its very existence. But let’s focus on the positive! We weren’t so cloth-eared that we flew there in a private jet.

It’s an agreement that caters only for our ruling elite. Of course it’s true. Wake me when you hear of an agreement that eases the burden on the rest of us!

Much like the ‘open and frank conversation’ I had with the police officer at Lumley Junction who needed ‘sugar for his tea’, and with whom I now enjoy a ‘robust’ relationship.

A perfectly good example of how a perfectly good idea can go badly wrong. Hubris, high-handedness, an unwillingness to consult, an absent Executive, no Cabinet collective responsibility and, very likely, plenty of greed. When will someone stand up and act for #SierraLeone ?

It would appear that half the problem has been addressed. The trouble is, we don’t know if it’s the correct half. Time will tell, I guess.

A nice sentiment. Problem is, in engaging with some of the newer generation, they appear as devoid of ideas as the old. There’s only so far that “these ones must go” will take you. To be replaced by what? Start articulating alternatives. The country needs a credible opposition.
