GW Parkway north and southbound lanes are now open due to an earlier accident.

Traffic is blocked at GW Parkway and Slaters Lane as Alexandria Police provide support on a major accident blocking north and southbound lanes on the parkway. Avoid the area. Updates will be provided as they become available.

There is a police presence in the 1600 block of Duke Street where a commercial robbery has occurred. No injuries reported. The suspect fled.
