FINAL in Kansas City. Erik Thommy bagged a brace, but it wasn't enough for #SportingKC to take points from Arrowhead in a 3-2 loss to #InterMiamiCF .

Third-largest attendance in MLS history, largest for a soccer game in the state of Missouri.

Goal, #InterMiamiCF . KC turned the ball over trying to play out of the back, Diego Goméz won it and sent a ball to a wide-open Luis Suárez for a tap-in at the back post.

#SportingKC answers with a golazo of its own. Thommy has a brace with a half-volley off a corner kick that hit the post and went in. We're level at Arrowhead in a game that has lived up to the billing.

#InterMiamiCF and #SportingKC enter halftime tied 1-1 in what has been quite an entertaining opening 45 minutes.

Messi's on the scoresheet as #InterMiamiCF equalizes. He finds Diego Gómez with an inch-perfect ball with his left foot that the Paraguayan slotted home.

After four years in Missouri, I finally made it to Arrowhead.

Over 70,000 fans are expected to fill the NFL stadium as #SportingKC hosts #InterMiamiCF . I’ll have coverage throughout the night for Missourian Sports.

Crazy how Portland soccer fans get to watch Sam Coffey and Diego Chara on the same timeline. Both arguably among the best No. 6's in their respective leagues who also happen to play the position completely differently.
