What does it take to move the Orion Spacecraft spacecraft? Meet crane operator Rebekah Tolatovicz, a shift mechanical technician lead at Kennedy. Tolatovicz is one of a team of operators who control a 30-ton crane to lift the Orion spacecraft for testing: go.nasa.gov/3LGmFi1
Terrific talk today with our summer class of NASA Internships at NASA's Johnson Space Center! Our interns are key to #Artemis missions sending humans to the Moon.
“We take the heat!” 🔥 At NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Lockheed Martin Technician Erika Cotney installs over 200 MLI (multilayer insulation) blankets onto Orion. The blankets help protect the spacecraft from the extreme heat of reentry and coldness of space on #Artemis missions to the Moon.
Artwork in motion! 🎨🚚🚀 The third European Service module is en route to its next destination on Earth in a container adorned with art. 👩🎨 🖼️ A huge banner showcases European Space Agency's winning piece from #ArtForArtemis competition as we go #ForwardToTheMoon: blogs.esa.int/orion/2022/06/…
European Service Module-3, across the sea, by Canopée⛵ The @ESA service module is making its way from Airbus Space to NASA's Kennedy Space Center on the Canopée ship! At Kennedy, the #Artemis III service module that will push Orion and crew to the Moon will be integrated with its crew module.
The European Service Module for #Artemis III is on its way from Airbus Space to NASA's Kennedy Space Center! The service module is assembled in Germany with contributions from 10 European countries — congratulations to the @ESA and Airbus teams on our key to pushing Orion Spacecraft to the Moon.
ESM-3 all packed and ready for departure! European Space Agency's European Service Module has left our cleanroom and was loaded onto the Canopée ship to travel to NASA's Kennedy Space Center, its launch site in Florida for further testing and mating with the Orion Spacecraft crew module 🛰️
✅@ESA's European Service Module (ESM-3) has arrived in Port Canaveral aboard Canopée 🚢 🔜 Let the testing begin! ESM-3 will be starting its extensive test campaign with Orion Spacecraft, European Space Agencyspaceflight, Lockheed Martin Space and the Airbus teams here at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, to make sure #Artemis III
Orion welcomes our @ESA European Service Module for Artemis III to NASA's Kennedy Space Center
The @ESA European Service Module for #Artemis III is inside the spacecraft factory at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The team is preparing to remove the service module from the environmentally-controlled transport container that protected it on the journey from Germany.
