Adoption of the #CSDDD by European Parliament today is a moment to celebrate. But it is just the end of the beginning.

The work will continue towards a proper implementation of the directive that will result in tangible improvements in the respect for human rights and the environment.

I welcome today’s final vote by European Parliament on #CSDDD .

It is an important 🇪🇺 legislation, to which I have been personally committed, to ensure transparency, accountability and the respect for human rights & the protection of the environment in global supply chains.

Today, after years of work, countless hours of negotiations and political turmoil, the #CSDDD is finally ADOPTED! Exactly one year after the tragic collapse of Rana Plaza.
