Rotation is a movement - images should be dynamic. Let children predict & check, ask "What if.... and Will it always?" - use file to respond to their questions. Developing children to think mathematically! File I prepared for my London South East+ Maths Hub RIWG teachers. Dr. Vivien Townsend
Children need visual representations NOT learning procedures. Using Mathigon - asking children how to adjust the information to show central tendency. Readily extendable to questions children might ask - dynamic technology! #SeeingLeadsToUnderstanding London South East+ Maths Hub The NCETM
Are your science teachers supporting children with same approach as in mathematics? Using Mathigon when balancing equations in chemistry. Just one of many ideas I've shared with my Maths & Science group Ark Curriculum Plus Helen Drury London South East+ Maths Hub #CoherenceInMathsAndScience
Another great day working with primary and secondary mathematics teachers from The Howard Partnership Trust The Howard Partnership Trust. CPD focusing on developing coherence between phases and strength in curriculum planning. North-East Hants and Surrey Maths Hub The NCETM

Great reaction from a participant in my workgroup. 'Good bye' restrictive animations on PPT - one outcome, answering one question. 'Hello' dynamic images using technology - representing numerous outcomes of endless questions. Securing the learning for all children! Geoff Wake 👇
Those lovely penguins popped up in today's session - as always a great success with the TAs who can't wait to use themselves with children. A gem of a task from Griffiths, Back & Gifford Book early to enrol on SKTM TAs 2024/25 , there was a waiting list this year London South East+ Maths Hub
4 years ago my student daughter spotted a hedgehog in the garden of their house. A hedgehog house was built and wifi camera installed enabling great night views. Today there are 2 and maybe even hope for Hoglets 😀😀 So nice to share good news. Geoff Wake 👇 Helen Drury
Jonathan Hall Reduce the number of questions to 5 would be a good practice to promote to your audience. Surely it is more appropriate to have non vertical addition questions for this age group?
